My work begins with paying attention: to what is visible and what is not, to the stories we tell and the fragments that resist them. I am interested in how we make sense of the world through memory, conversation, images and objects, and how, in turn, these things shape the worlds we inhabit.

Fuelled by ideas not yet fully formed, my practice moves through collage, recall, observation and lived experience. Drawing on my background as a documentary maker, I am drawn to the hidden places where stories reveal themselves — in what is said, what is not, what is remembered and what is left behind. I make work as a way of looking closely, allowing new connections and possibilities to emerge.

For me, art is an ongoing, unfinished conversation.
